So i've recently been chatting with a BF member about how we choose knives to collect. We've been talking about why we keep, and which to sell.

to quote a line from my last message to him...

"My collection is constantly circulating. I've gone through so many different folders. I've even owned and sold many of the same exact knife 2, 3 and 4 times over. It's taken me a while, but i think i finally have my core group of knives i will never sell. Here is a shot of my current collection...(minus a boker haddock sent into boker for repair, and another Large Reg Sebe- sent into CRK for the full spa treatment)"

This is the first time i took them all out to snap a pic. I use almost every single one of these knives and will rarely ever own something i don't plan on carrying and using. Aside from being proud to own some of the best known folders out there, i am also proud to have a truly versatile collection (IMO of course). The only thing i think is missing, is maybe 1 more knife that won't break my heart if it was ever confiscated or lost. Anyway, here's the pic!

The Posting Rules:
i would really love to see your collections too, however, respectfully i would like to make some posting rules. I know some of you luckier (crazy) collectors have hundreds and hundreds of knives. Let's keep the photos limited to a 20 knife max, that either display your favorites OR the group of knives you find to be the most versatile and useful for all occasions. Can't wait to see all the images
Thank you!

forgot about this little stabby thing that (being attached to my keys) is the true EDC knife.

These are my folders (minus one vic classic on my keys)

These are my primary 'go to' folders.

Here is a Spyderco Super Hawk one of the thickest VG-10 blades I've owned in a folder, along with 3 Ladybug Hawkbill SE. These are all discontinued now.

Very nice collection. Who made the small stag folder on the right. (beside the Boker Gnome)
Thank you for the comment. I actually just start a thread, trying to inquire about the maker of that knife. It's a beautiful handmade custom. here is a link to the thread, which has all the info i know, plus some more pics.

Sweet collection bro! i actually forgot about one on my keys also. It's a little neck/keychain knife made by Amsler Knives. I'll have to add an individual of that little guy at some point.

Nice! What blade steel is the cf millie?

It's a BG-42 one. I posted a thread in the Spyderco Sub-forum with HD video if you want to see it better. The camera I have access to atm doesn't do it justice.

I'd be very interested to see that! Love your selection BTW. Wide variety.

Wow... needless to say, i'm not huge into spyderco, but i have bought and sold many of them, and will likely continue to do so. Anyway, the CF Millie with BG-42 must be pretty rare! Congrats!

I just add a quick cell phone shot of my key-chain knife.

Thank you.

Not in pic is a Sage 2 & an incoming Tim Galyean small Pro-series JYD.

A lot of awesome knives in that pic. Your collection is great (especially jealous of the skirmish)
I wish like Hell that Benchmade put the Skirmish back into production. I'd like another one but not at almost $400.
How do you like the Spartan?

Fun to own, but completely and utterly impractical. I've done some batoning and chopping with it just for jokes, but I would never carry it. Too heavy and large (not a knock on the build quality). Like having it in my collection, but if I needed to downsize for cash I wouldn't have any reservations selling it off.

The core folding knives of my collection (excluding SAK's and multitools). Left to right, arranged roughly by family:
Scott Cook Lochsa, Chris Reeve Ivory Mnandi,
Spyderco CF Police, Micarta Calypso, ZDP Caly3, Micarta Calypso Jr, SS Dragonfly (my first "real" knife),
DDR Mad Maxx III,
William Henry: B15 "Quest" and B3 "Spryte" (Big 'un, little 'un)

All have been EDC'ed at one point or another, some for years, a few only for a few weeks. This core group is probably never going to be sold or traded. Current EDC alternates between the Lochsa and the Caly3. In the near future a ZDP stretch may make it into this group.

Some pretty sweet knives posted in this thread guys!

Lots and lots of pretty sweet knives!:D Very nice collection chadrive, as are all the others!

Charles IV, that is a custom Crawford Kasper, correct? What size is it? The Kasper is one of my alltime favorites as far as customs go.

Trix2004 - how's that BM 710 Gold Class treating you? I just ordered one tonight.
