Last time I remember having it was 2 days ago and I got a little drunk :(
Searched all the house 3 times; every pant, drawer and corner; moved the bed, looked under the sheets. Even dug the trash can and also went to our communal dumpster to dig my trash bag from 2 days ago. Found it; opened it but it was not there :mad::mad:
The knife in question: a ZT 0777
Now excuse me, I'm going to puke in the corner :foot:

if you lost it inside the house, then it's there. now if you did a thorough search and it's not there, try looking outside. you might just think you left it in the house. also consider theft. who was in there besides you?

I've done that before. It should turn up soon. Weird things happen to belongings while drinking. It's even worse if you smoke weed, which I don't, but I've heard stories about it. you'll find it.

Dude, it's right there on your head.

...wait, that's your sunglasses. :D

Seriously, though, hope you find it. That is a bummer.

I seem lose (not misplace in my room somewhere) more than the average number of knives so trust me when I say it's just a good reason to buy a new knife.

Philisophical Response: There is a Bhuddist saying, "The plate is already broken." This is to remind us of the impermanent nature of life. Once we accept and embrace this impermanence, it becomes much easier to detatch oneself from the physical world of desire and suffering.

So, uhh... Just buy a new knife, and if you find the old one (I never do), consider it a bonus! :D

Had a similar situation before. My brother in law lost his spyderco rookie and hadn't seen it for over a year. One day I borrowed his truck and I looked down between the seat and console and BAM! There it was.

You need to search slowly and methodically. Spaz-out search techniques do not work. Go slow and look under things. Look especially careful in the places you are very confident that the knife is NOT.
It exists. Matter does not just disappear from the earth. It wants to be found. That knife was made for use. It was not made to rest under a couch cushion or refrigerator. It wants to cut something. You just have to find it.

Happens to me a lot, and it always turns out to be sitting somewhere in the open. Never where you think it'll be. Good luck trying to find it, that sure does suck.

You'll find it in a few months when you've all but given up on ever having it again. Happens to everything I lose (which fortunately hasn't been knives, yet.)

What a coincidence I was goin for a walk the other day and found a 0777 stuck in a tree. ;)

If its in the house itll eventually surface.

I lost and found my Sebenza. It was gone for 2 weeks, I had completely given up hope and then ... there it was. Keep the faith and keep your eyes open.

Last year I lost a favorite, a Case stockman with CV blades - one of my first knife purchases. Had a small hole in my pocket and it slipped out somewhere. I was sure it was laying in a parking lot somewhere as I had no idea when it slipped out during the day. Fast forward about three weeks, on the 4th of July, I'm in the backyard. I kneel down by the firepit to get a fire set up so the younguns can roast marshmallows. There sitting in the grass is my beloved stockman, somewhat rusty, but there! I guess it fell out while I had been mowing the lawn. Anyway, with some oil and emery cloth I was able to restore it to very useable condition, and now, like the prodigal son come home, it is an even more favored piece, battle scars and all.

The moral of this story is "It ain't gone till it's gone!" so take heart, yours will turn up I'm sure, unless it sprouted legs.

Was it clipped to your pocket? There are lots of things that can catch clips.

Whenever I lose something (often), I look everywhere in the house for about three times. Once my wife sees me cussing, she asks me what I lost this time. It usually takes her two minutes to find it. Good girl.
Sonnydaze...good luck.
