i retired my endura IV about 6 months ago after much abuse and use. it went through hundreds of pieces of cardboard, zap straps, bailing wire, miles of tape. it cut up plenty of fruits and veggies on hikes and camping trips and survived countless incursions, piercing soup cans open.
it was one tough SOB i can tell you that much.
i warped the clip pretty badly one day after using the knife to pry the door to my shipping bay (worked in a warehouse). i had finished prying the door open and put the blade in my pocket but with the knife on the outside instead of the inside of the pocket (needed it soon after) and it caught on the chain thats used to lift the door open. thats how it bent.
i hadn't carried a full size pocket knife since then, relying on multi-tools to get the job done at work. but i did miss having a full size pocket knife.
today i got a new spyderco pacific salt; reminds me of the endura but with the bonus of rust resistant h1 steel. this thing is great, brought back alot of memories.
anyways, thank you spyderco for making such a great product. this pacific salt will probably see alot of use prying oysters off rocks and digging and what not.
cheers,
JC
