Just got a first strike from Eric and the fellas at Fehrman knives. Work is like a custom and blade feels really alive. When I took it out the sheath I wasn't sure about it as I am so used to Busse but WOW, this is amazing !

Thanks guys !!

:D

Congrats Brendan,

Glad you like your new Fehrman,Fehrmans attention to detail is outstanding and the blades are the best I have ever used.

May it serve you well, now get out there and use that beast :D

thanks fella - do you know what the number 060 means on my blade - under the USA stamp !!

Im guessing here, but I think that might mean number 60 of the first run of the new model.
The First Strike has changed a little from the first model that Eric came out with, He made changes over the old models.

So I assume you have number 60 of the first run of the new model first strike.

Gotta give a big thumbs up to Eric, as well.
I got a Shadow Scout, wasn't sure it was what I was looking for, and Eric was going to let me exchange toward a Last Chance. We talked about the pros and cons of each knife for my intended use. After some thinking, putting a lanyard on it, and playing with it, I decided to keep the Shadow Scout.
Regardless, Eric is obviously committed to the customer.
I was having a hard time thinking about sending it back, anyway. One of the nicest fixed blades I've seen, with great attention to detail. I didn't expect it to have a swedge, and really didn't want one on my knife, but I have to say it looks great, and is perfectly symmetrical. The bevelling around the guard, choil, and spine are very nice touches, and the execution of the thumb serrations flawless.
I'm very impressed with both Eric, and the knife, and hope to get another Fehrman in the near future.

edited to add another pic

i was always put off by the squared front curve of most of the ferhmans i say that were of large size, but with the regular rounded front, that is really nice looking.... a very clean sense of function apperent in the blade and handle
