Fehrman-Busse-Tops

IMHO best is Swamp Rat which is Busse but with different steel (SR101). It is simple carbon steel 52100, but they heat treat it extremely well l and it holds edge very well according to my tests (disclimer - I did not tested TOPS). For toughness - I saw video when SR chopping concrete - very impressive as well, but I am not doing this with my knives.

If man can make it man can destroy it. This holds true for any blade no matter the thickness or manufacturer. I recommend more time on reading about steels, edge geometry, heat treatment, and maintenance. Besides do you want a knife to cut with or to hit with a 2X4???? You can just make a prybar and put an edge on it if that is the case but it won't cut well. Is this for military applications? Why the need for an expensive indestructable blade?

Edit: Just wanted to add of those you mentioned and your unclear intentions I would choose the Busse. If you really want to test your knives like the videos you presented go with the company with the best reputation for warranty and customer service.

I have and use Fehrman and Busse. It is apples and apples. Personally I like my Fehrman and 3v. My Last Chance is my favorite knife. Tops is a step down IMO.
