Fehrman Peace Maker - A High Quality Piece of Steel!

Thanks guys - I've had a few chances to use it so far, but unfortunately no pics. So far very happy with it overall! Has been taking a nice edge - just a few strops with green compound gets it back to hair whittiling. Hopefully the week of thanksgiving I will have some time to do a nice user review w pics comparing it to my other favorite sub 4"ers.

As of now, my only negative is the coating - it does not let me slice as smooth as I'd like. If I hadnt recieved this in trade, I would have purchased the satin finish. I know im knitoicking, but I had to find something to to criticize the blade on ;) I think If I convex it I will see a nice bump in slicing smoothness.

@kgd - the rat cutlery molle back is probably one of my favorite knife accessories I own - I hate tek-loks as I like my knives to right low and this molle back does the trick real well and fits virtually every kydex i own! It has the same hole spacing as the loks. I had it on my busse SAR4 last and it worked like a charm. I've been meaning to see if I can just order a few of them on their own. RC actually has a new molle back out now for the larger RC5 and 6 - I might have to take the plunge at that as well.

You can always remove the coating yourself, or send it to someone who offers that kind of service. The satin finish blade is not very nice either, because the blade is grey (as opposed to real satin finish). I removed the 'grey coating' on my Peace Maker using dremel and Flitz. It's a bit shiny now, but not too shiny that I'll be afraid to ruin the finish.
