Fell Beast Legacy Prime Z TUFF Sale Instructions and Information Thread Wed OCT 2 @7:00PM

Where are your center screws? Out if curiosity, why are they removed?

It wasn’t tightened on one side and fell out in box. I took box out side and walked to trash with it and must have dropped it along the way and couldn’t find it. lol I didn’t even notice when I had posted pics but Hunter did immediately and reached out to me. He is sending me another one for it. I was going to take another pic but I just wanted to see if anyone else would actually notice. Good eye!

When I was tightening one side it loosened the other. Then during shipping it probably rattled free. Never had that happen before but its a good thing for me to watch out for in the future.

Typically when I put the scales on the holes are so tightly fitting that the first screw you put in with the barrel is basically locked in place and you can flip it to the other side and pop in the other screw and tighten it all the way.

I reamed the holes on these a little larger than normal to make scale changes easier for customers. This allowed the barrel and first screw to twist and loosen up when I was tightening the other side. Normally they are close to a press fit and are a real pain to take off but the barrel and screw are completely snug.

Id recommend everyone doing a quick check on the screw tension before they take their blade into the field. 👍

I noticed it immediately when you posted it up Wednesday but didn’t say anything. You’d said CPK scales so I was thinking you must have changed them for some??? And the middle one didn’t fit? IDK lol…. Was a little confused by that.

Anyways glad he’s hookin ya up!

My Fell Beast shows arrived in a parcel locker. I’ll go grab mine in a little bit to see what all the fuss it about 😃. Looks amazing in pics!

Glad yours has finally arrived!

I wont be making that mistake again when fitting up the handles, thats for sure 🙃

And point of clarity, CPK made the scales for the OG Fell Beast but these were made by Stoner CNC. I was originally going to have Nathan make another batch for this run but I wanted some changes made and I decided it would be best to have the blade and scales milled under one roof just to lower the risk for fitup issues between the blade and scales. Stoner CNC absolutely nailed them and I'm super happy with how they turned out.

Matt Stoner and Nathan make the best scales in the world in my opinion  Its been an honor to work with both of them.

Got mine picked up and looks great! My screws were snug and the handles look nice. Overall a beautiful beast and can’t wait to chop and delimb some shrubberies 😃

Thank you!
