Fellow KnifeKnuts, your prayers are needed....

I never thought my 28 weeks and 3.1 would seem big. :(

En Nomine Patris, et Filli, et Spiritu Santo, Amen. Prayers and good vibes on the way.

Same with my wife and I. However it is amazing what neonatal intensive care can do these days. I would bank on the baby pulling through. Babies are a lot tougher than we give them credit for.
My son was 18 days in neo natal ICU when he was born. they had a picture wall of hundreds of babies born at 1lb and a later pic of them as toddlers, Graduates of High School, playing soccer, etc.

tell your friends to keep the faith...It will be alright..Doctors always say the worst incase the worst happenes..however Life has a way of living...

Keep us updated..

I went through this very same thing last summer. Born just about 24 weeks along at 1lb 6.6oz and 11.25 inches long. The doctors told me the same thing. After 145 days in the Neo-Natal unit she came home.

Tell your friends to listen to the nurses more than the doctors. They will spend more time with their child then the doctors ever will. The doctors job is to be pessimistic about this and upcoming situations so that the parents don't get their hopes up.

Your friends and their child will be kept in my prayers. If your friends want to talk to someone that just went through a similar situation e-mail me and I'll send you my number.

God bless,

Paul
