I have the wool felt Orvis packable fedora that is nice, but I've never tried a nice fur felt.

Brians-- that's a great looking hat man.. i really like the style and color of it... :thumbup: how wide is the brim?? i can't seem to find it on Orvis's site??

The brim is 2.5 inches. I swapped-out the ribbon band for leather, but here she lies (notice the sale on black ) Swap out the band for a nice custom, personal look Oh yeah, I don't even notice the brim when at full-draw

All the good hats are stiff at first. It takes 6 mos to a year to get a Stetson broke in if you wear it 2-3 times a week. Then they fit like old jeans. Once you start wearing a hole in them it's time for a new one. (Usually because the women won't be seen with you if you're gonna wear that old thing...)
