Larua Sue Beske is as good as they come. Not to knock Audra or Heather for they are also outstanding as they are master smiths and can't be beat and I know all of them personally and they give more they you excepect for your dollar. Nuff said they are good. I saw Larua Sue pass her JR Smith test and she blew away the men that were in my intro class when she showed up in a short shirt and high heels and cut the 1" rope that all the men in class had been having a problem with.I taught Christine who is from Alaska in her intro class before Steve's damascus class she is serious but lives where there is no electricity so her progress may be slower than normal but she is dedicated. I look for her to do well.

You make a good, point Reggie. With not having electricity, Christine will need every bit of that dedication. Of course many a great knife has been made in the past with no electricity. :D

A little away form the point of this thread, but it would be interesting if the ABS school instructors who frequent the forum would comment occasionally regarding students with exceptional talents or post photos of good examples of their work. Just a thought.

Her name is actually Kristin Lyle-Reakoff from Wiseman, Ak. She will do well. She completed three back to back classes at Old Washington. The first week of intro with Reggie and JR Cook and the second week with me and Michael Connor. Handles and guards with David Anders and as mentioned the class with Steve Dunn. She also attended the Fall hammer-in. Don
