Why don't you ask if she wants a knife first. Lots of people, men and women don't like them and don't carry them.

As for my wife, she's the frilly type, but she doesn't care at all for pink or typically girly knives. She's been carrying a BM 555s in black (everyday in her bag or purse), and she absolutely adores it. I've offered on several occasions to pick her out something new, but she says that from what she's seen so far, this is her favorite.

I either carry it tip down or take the clip off alltogether. Clipless is how I carry it at work. I've been considering getting a lowrider clip made but so far just carrying it clipless has been working out fine.

Cool. The Leek's design absolutely lends itself to clipless carry; such a svelte knife becomes even more sleek when you ditch the clip. Of course, I think the Leek's clip is one of the finest ever designed. It's thin and low profile, super-strong and clips on and off like no one's business. Ken Onion totally nailed it on that one.
