I was hesitant in spending nearly $50 for such a small edc light, but once I got the L0D Q4 I was hooked. The little light has 5 settings, low, medium, high and two flashing settings. That little sucker is bright! especially considering the single AAA battery it takes. And it's only slightly bigger than the ARC AAA I carried for the past few years on my keyring.
I was so impressed, I turned around and ordered the L2D Q5 premium for my pack. This one runs on two AA's. The high setting goes up to 180 lumens on it, plus it hs the low, medium and flash settings. I am really impressed with these lights

I've got a P1D I love, but I wanted something for my key ring. I'd always carried a micro-mag, but it's a PIA and the Fenix spoiled me, so I stopped carrying it.

Your thread got me to order a LOD Q4, it'll be nice to get one back on my key ring.

I like the Fenix, descent price and they're rugged enough for anything I'll ever do.

I've had the L0D for I dunno, maybe 6 months, and I don't even remember changing the battery yet. But I always use it on the regular "medium" or default setting, and only for a couple minutes at a time.

Battery life varies with which setting its on. High is a couple hrs and low is rated at 36 hrs. Or so. I'm just amazed at the brightness!

I have 3 Fenix lights.. I think they are the best $4$ light on the market.. The T1 is THE brightest light I have ever owned. It throws an incredible amount of light.

I love my P3D Q5. Just the right size and I can melt the paint off walls with it, it's so bright :)

Maybe with a lithium Ion, but with alkalines like duracell you would be lucky if you got over 30-40 minutes on high with the LOD

Not to take anything away from the light, because it is still a great light. But I still prefer the ARC

The New Fenix Eo1 might just be the death of the Arc. I have been a long time fan of Fenix. Alkaline's can't hang with the newer LED's use Lithium's or NiMi's rechargeables and the run-Time will be much longer.

WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU BUY A FENIX, when you could spend twice the money and get a light that didn't put out as much light or run for as long? :D I don't think you can go wrong with the Fenix line. Especially if you want output AND runtime in the same package.

They're great lights

I did much the same thing a year or so ago. Ordered an L0D CE as a replacement for my 20 year old Solitaire and a E1 to go in a PSK. Was so impressed I then bought an L2D CE as my general camp light. I now have a TK10 on it's way to me.

I've been carrying the L2D on walks at night. While I am impressed and I like the battery economy and life, I think it might be more than I need. So I'm thinking of adding one of the smaller Fenix lights like the L0D. I really like that they offer so many styles.

I use a Petzl TacTikka XP for general purpose, fishing, around camp etc., but the L2D comes out when I really want to light something up. Its a little beauty.

L1P in my coat pocket and one of the first P1s on my keychain, can't beat the bang for the buck, especially considering the L1P uses AA batteries.

Winston.

Got a fenix in my BOB. I prefer surefire for firearms related "tactical" stuff, but fenix is the ticket for anything else.

Yep, they're great lights. I am very excited about the E01s I have incoming; hopefully they get here soon!

i've got a p1d ce,an l2d q5,p3d q5,t1 q5,and an lod q5 that stays in my pocket connected to my sak. every single one of these lights perform far beyond the price range that they are in!! i am very happy with em all!!-fed

I have to say how impressed I was with the Fenix store too. They got each light to me within 3 days. Nothing like not having to wait too long :)

I never carried an edc light until I got my L1D - great little, but powerful light that uses a single AA:
