Fenix lights

I have a Fenix TK15 which i know is not the light in question, but that is an amazing lite ! I JUST got the FENIX LD20, im still on my first set of AAs, i think its a great light, now at first i didnt like it cause the User Interface was totally new but 10mins playing with it and its a no brainer now. I highly recommend FENIX to anyone, for the money, HARD to beat.

Can't go wrong with Fenix for EDC, I have a LD10 and a brand new E15 and they are totally cool.

What are you going to be doing with this light? I chose a PD30 for my EDC. It's pretty bright and has a few different modes but is still easy to use. It came with a pocket clip, lanyard and an extra rubber button, which was nice too. I'm not a flashlight guy, so I don't car about having and latest and greatest. This flashlight is much better than the Surefire G-3 that it replaced though.

If you want a ton of information on these lights (and many more), you owe it to yourself to visit http://www.candlepowerforums.com, especially the review sub-forum. But ... be prepared to have a few sleepless nights. You might even run into powernoodle :)

BTW, I just picked up an LD20 R5, AB02 belt clip and batteries for $48 delivered ... now I've got my sights set on the Quark X 2xAA.

i ended up going with the aa2 tactical, just cuz it rode better in the pocket than the fenix ld20, the clip on the ld20 isnt reversable so the etire head sticks out, look dumb.

well I bought it online it hasn't come in the mail yet

I hope I get one with a orange o-ring . I own a casio paw1500gb-1 which is the black and orange cold weather edition

I love my Fenix L2d - has worked perfectly for several years - really great with the cone diffuser . Taken knocks and shocks like a champ. Have only tried 4sevens Preon - but thats a nice light too. 4Sevens has fewer AA lights it seems and more cr123. I like the AA form because it works with my Powerex NIMH battery charger system. I want to pick up a FenixTK 41 sometime.

I was under the impression that 4sevens were previously Fenix distributers , but now have their lights made by Olight ? Could be wrong tho . Olight makes a good light too.

For anyone who's unclear on Fenix/4sevens, this is hiding on the long updates list on 4seven's website:

Fenix-Store.com Under New Management - a letter from David Chow

Dear Fenix-Store Friends, Fans, and Fanatics past, present, and future!

It has been an exciting 6+ years developing and distributing competitive flashlights during this exciting period of time where LED's are progressing by leaps and bounds year after year. It has been a great and yet ongoing journey for me to get the best flashlights into as many people's hands as possible.

Fenix-Store.com had its beginnings in 2005 in the basement of our house and it has progressed into a full world-wide retail distribution. Fenix-Store.com is well known for its excellent customer service and the free world-wide shipping model which so many use everyday.

We are happy to announce that Fenix-Store.com has been purchased by a very capable group out of Oklahoma who have promised to meet or exceed the service that we've offered in the last 6 years. We actually had several opportunities which we turned down because they were not familiar with the type of service we provided as well as the close-knit customer base we have come to know and serve.

We will be making the transition in 10 days from November 29th to December 7th (2011). The store will remain operational but shipping and processing of orders as well as pre/post-sales inquiries will be on hold until December 8th.

They will be handling all pre/post-sales inquiries as well as all dealers and RMA/service needs from December 8th on. Fenix-Store.com will operate as before with all accounts as before - so there will be no change for all our Fenix customers. Shipping will continue to be free to anywhere on earth.

Love my PD31 and TK35

The LD20 is a decent lite, 2xaa's..run time decent....little blue of tint for me.

I have an LD20 by Fenix. Its a well made light but I like my JetBeam BA20 much better. Actually I'm favoring JebBeam over about all of the other lights I have whether they be Streamlight, Surefire, 4sevens, or TerraLux among others. If you really want the wow factor for a 'wall of light' not a beam look at JetBeam. The PA10is an amazing light. Likes batteries but wow! What brightness! Its the brightest light I have. I like the BA20 better though because it is nearly as bright but uses two AA batteries instead of one and it is a miser by comparison for how long the batteries last.

AW cells are considered to be amongst the best, and are what I use.

Question for you gentlemen. What lights are made in the US? I believe Fenix is made in China right?

Surefire and Maglite are USA made, and possibly Streamlight.

Fenix, Jetbeam, 4Sevens, Olight, Eagletac, Sunwayman, Klarus, Zebralight and pretty much all others are made in China.
