Yes I know there were steels I left out but was worried that too many choices would not ... Idk... look bad ???
I still like the 3 dot 440c blades of the 111 classic the best... but a close runner up would be the carbon Damascus blades .... yowser ya can gets one sweet edge on thoes !

I like S-90-V and S-110-V. Buck has limited offerings in S-90-V. I had some custom blades made in S-110-V.View attachment 863828

I was completely unaware that Buck ever made a knife in S110V. Interesting. That stuff is very difficult to sharpen, but it has great edge retention and great corrosion resistance.

The S-110-V blades were made by Leroy Remer not Buck. I don’t think that Leroy is looking to get into the S-110-V blade market. Something about “hard to grind”.

Yep, no fake. After you grind a few of those blades you don't care to do it again. I like Buck & SK's offering w/ s90v steel. DM
