My buddy just got some from radio shack, 'pcb etchant,' has a few other ingredients but worked to bring out a hamon and the welds on some cable stuff we made.

I get mine off fleabay. I get two pounds at a time. It cost about the same to ship two pounds as it is one, because of the hazard charge. That last me almost a year.
