i have been considering buying some bulk ferric chloride, and was wondering which was better "tech" grade or "photo" grade ? also any comments on the pros and cons of the powder form. i believe its alot cheaper ..........but not sure. the photo grade is $20/gal. and the tech is $16/gal, or 4 gal. for $56. the powder is $4/lb. and is mixed 1:1, meaning 1 lb. powder to 1 lb. water.

Get the tech grade.
Should be the same recipe as the Radio Shack PCB etchant.
I'm going to get a case myself just so i don't have to worry about it for about 63 years. Wait, then I'll be 117.
