Ferrum Forge... A Class Act All The Way!

I have been hunting down a Ferrum Forge Pretium for the last few months.
Finally found one, the lockup was a tad bit late and it had just a teeny bit of up and down play when in the closed position.
Detent seemed to allow for play only in the closed position but the detent itself wasn't weak, it flipped like a dream.

I emailed Chris over at Ferrum Forge on a Monday, explained my dilema (not really a dilema but wanted a knife as close to perfect as possible) He emailed back within the hour and said "Send it in, we'll fix that" I sent the knife out on Tues, with a note and $6 for the return shipping. They received it on Thurs. The repairs were done that same day and he emailed me to tell me It would be in the mail by Friday. All I could say is WHAAAT??? Fast forward to mail call Monday and the Pretium is back in my hands!

Not only did they fix the up/down while closed play issue perfectly but they also (without me asking) brought back the lock up to 10% maybe even less.

Just wanted to use this post to say Ferrum Forge, you guys are a class act all the way!

That's awesome Customer Service. I'm getting a Ferox and a NGFR in the mail this week. I KNEW I had to have a FFKW in my pocket after watching some of the youtube vids by the Williamson Bros. I was interested before, but their in shop antics had me laughing pretty hard.

Fantastic! I've been looking into an NGFR and or a Ferrox as well. It seems we have similar tastes Lol. I met the Williamson Bros at the Pasadena knife show via Scott "Blade Junkee" and they were a couple of really cool guys (didn't meet Chris). Tall.... I'm only 5'08" so they towered over me hahaha. Yeah, their shop antics crack me up as well. I am still beyond impressed at how fast and how courteous they were. Most of the customer service experiences I had have been Ok to good. Ferrum Forge was a solid 10/10 They added a nice personal touch in their dealings with me (thumbs up)
