The Mordax has a Jake Hoback rolling detent allowing the blade to smoothly roll over the detent ball. This blade has been carried and stropped. There are some carry marks on the titanium handle and the clip. When closed, the blade has a slight bias towards the show side. The lock is very sturdy and it hasn't moved since the day I bought it. The HRD allows for the user to customize the degree of snap when flipping the blade open which is a pretty unique feature.
