Fess up!

How does that antler pipe draw? It looks nifty, but I've experienced what stag grips smell like when being shaped. It isn't very pretty.

I know what you mean. At first after after harvested it can be ripe and ugly.

It draws fine now though rbmcmjr.. I let this stag set and shrink for nearly 2 years.. Once I worked it into a smoking pipe shape though it was a great material to work with.. :D :D :D :D

nice work on your knives muskratman, you have met your calling.i carrya vic solo as neck knife-a buck303 stockman and a eka swede 88.

Some nice pics of carrying knives here.

Same basic kit today for work. Mini-T, SAK utility, & SAK classic. Used the Phillips head on the SAK on a door latch at work, skinned and cut up some cucumber and tomato with the Case mini-trapper, and used the toothpick of the SAK Classic for after lunch.

At home swapped the pocket knives for a very inexpensive, but actually nice Gerber fixed blade (Profile, saw it listed lately on close out at Wally World for $15.) that I tossed on my hip. I thought I was going to do a little more yard work, but got redirected. (Oh, darn. :p ) So I did cut a few weeds with it. Mostly playing around.

Great thread, but I seem to just be carrying the same thing everyday, in work slacks or jeans. I'll just have to vary what's on my hip at home.

Today the same as I've carried for some time now:
A custom Moose from Ken Erickson.
Best Moose I've ever had. Nice darkbrown/rust-red jigged bone scales and ATS34 blades with half-stops.

And a Vic Classic on the key-ring.

I'm back to my Case Mini Copperhead with Wharncliff today. This is quickly becoming my favorite office knife.

From the W.R. Case site:

My word! It seems I've become a one knife man, at least in terms of a primary EDC. Actually, it's always the same carry config anymore. If at work, the two SAKs and the Case mini-trapper. At home the Classic in my handkerchief pocket and that darn mini-trapper has even supplanted my dandied up Case trapper that had been my jeans and go-to-town knife. And to think that right after I'd won the auction that I caught in the last few minutes and looked a little closer I freaked a little when I realized it was a mini-trapper. LOL, and now it has become a knife I can't seem to leave out of my pockets! Even if I do decide to carry something else, this one HAS to go into primary pocket position.

I may just have to take it with me. After all it wouldn't be heaven if you can't have a good old pocket knife and things to use it for. I got plenty of knives for the passing on. Then again, I s'pose if it gets a little pocket worn from long carry I oughta pass it along and hope someone will cherish it.

You're right, Jackknife. I may need professional help!

Case Copperlock, yellow handle, CV Wharncliffe that came in the mail yesterday. :D

Nice, thin knife. Longer than I was expecting, but still fits the hand very well.

Had to put the Queen teardrop jack in the other pocket. Can't just carry a new knife by itself, without a friend to show the way.

Used them this evening to cut kindling and hot dog sticks to cook with the kids in the back yard. Coals didn't get hot enough, and I didn't have enough wood to make up for it. We still had a good time.

All day every day is a yellow handle CV Sodbuster Jr and a Vic Mechanic. Monday thru friday while working a Leatherman K502x on my belt also.

Today I had my new kershaw boa on me tomorrow its a toss up between the kershaw groove or spyderco delica 4 wave

All week it's been a Spyderco UKPK plus a Vic. Ranger (The one down from the mini champ) on my keys.

Please don't throw me out this forum! :(
