'Fess up.

The only time I use a "cheap pos" knife is when I need to cut carpeting, shingles, etc. Then I use a razor / utility knife.

Other than that - I use what is in my pocket, no matter what the cost.

Pretty much the same with me. I don't have any high end folders though. When I'm on the work bench, I do have some beaters that stay there for using, in addition to utility knives.

I can tell you one thing though, LOL, I've whipped out my knife more than once at weddings and other similar functions to cut my steak, roast, etc. Drives my wife crazy. Why on earth people have good meat and then have plastic forks and knives is beyond me.

I don't own any POS knives but admit that I own at least 3 low priced value packed Rat 1's. They exist in common use jackets etc. My Rtak II lives on my sea kayak and the lighter ESEE 4 in my backpack for hiking.

These knives get used way more for utilitarian uses then any of my higher quality EDC knives commonly found in my pocket.
