Hello All.....I have a few more Bucks that need new homes. I will accept paypal (+3.0%), money order, or personal check if I have done business with you before. I will only ship in CONUS.

Up first are a pair of Strider/Bucks......I am not sure of the model #'s but the pictures should do the talkin. They have no boxes. The larger one has been VERY lightly used and carried some. the little guy is in same condition. I'd like $80 each >>>>>>>Large is sold pending funds to telcontar

Hello Mike,

On the 111, is the blade 420HC?
Is the handle nickel silver?
What year was it made?
Is there any writing in the scroll? (It doesn't look like it from the photo, but traditionally scrolls and shields were where an owner could have name or initials engraved with acid etch.)

Is the engraving part of the liner, or is it pinned/bolted onto the liner?

If I decide to get it, I'll send you a bank draft this time instead of MO.

Edit: if this is a 425m from the 80's, I'll take. Otherwise, I'll consider pending your answer.

Thanks

Wolfdog,

From the Buck Collectors Club website. The blade on the !!! Classic is 425M. The frame and handles are aluminum. They were produced from 1980-1990.

Thanks, sliderfisherman.
That is what I suspected. Mike has sent me a PM telling me he will send specks as soon as he has time. I'll be getting it for a friend here in the northwest. I want to first engrave her name on the scroll :)

425M is a soft steel by today's standards but very corrosion resistant. It is similar to 440A in characteristics and I have two 301's from the early 70's that have served well with this steel. One plus for a general user is that they are easy to re-sharpen.

Mike, as long as no names are etched on the scroll on either side, I'll take it. :) Please PM your address to confirm and I'll send you a bank draft for $85.

Thank you..
