Few Pics from Recent Trip

Someone asked about sharp pointy things. I brought an HI Chiruwa AK Khuk, a Bark River Mini NorthStar, a Victorinox Swisstool Spirit, a One hand Trekker, and a Sportsman (the last two being totally superfluous).

I used a Hennesy Hammock for sleeping and a homemade Pepsi can alcohol stove for my cooking at first, then switched to direct campfire cooking.

Great trip with great folks.

I'll try to post some additional pics a little later.

Some people say that edge testing is dangerous work. Nonsense says Hollowdweller. In his best Nelson voice, Joe says "Waa-haa."

Delicious bannock (Yes, I'm using my Swisstool Spirit's coveted "butter knife")

We met some folks who were enjoying the day picking berries. Quite a haul!

Thanks for the pics of Dolly Sods - looks absolutely beautiful around there! It's definitely now #1 on my list of places I've just got to check out.

I noticed on this thread http://ramanon.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34060&highlight=reeves
that Mike Stewart was going to have you test out his double bit lumberjack. Anything to report back? Inquiring minds want to know! :D

Beautiful HD!!

I grew up in Westernmost NC and your pictures give me a special lump in the back of my throat. I have lived "out west" since I finished college in 90.
