Few things to get rid of.

Are your lights gone yet? I've been needing one for a while.

Thanks for this gesture to the community.

This is VERY generous of you . I wish I had seen this before . The red lazer sight would have been great . My eyes are not what they used to be and I'm finding my aim is suffering for it lol . If you still have a flashlight I opened mine in my backpack the other day to find that the batteries had leaked and it was beyond saving , so a good little flashlight would be great .

Hey, I could use a flashlight... if you still have one that is. Very Generous of you to give all this stuff away!
I couldn't send a PM for some reason.. if you have the time please email me at n8reimers@gmail.com, thankyou again! :) God bless!

That's very generous of you to be giving back to the community, let me know if you get around to making those strops. I could def put it to good use.

Ok everyone since yesterday was pres day I shipped everything today. It went first class el-cheapo. If not it would have been a small fortune, I shipped 12 boxes :) So that being said I'm sorry to those who still need things, for now there is'nt anything. In the near future there will be more. Also I don't really know of any fair way other than first come first serve and going by time stamps. Now I check last night and as of now I have enough materials to make 8 strops more than I thought. 2 are mine so 6 to part with. I will give them out free but I will have to do it like this time, when they are done I will post and fc/fs. I am placing an order I think tomorrow for some compound, I buy from a fella on ebay and have for years now. I get three different grits. So upon order let me know what grit, which I will go over after I get them done, and I will include a good size chunk as well as the strop. Also it will be posted here in general knife again as I have no business in the exchange.
Thanks everyone, 3-5 days lead time on everything. Post when u get and let me know what you think.

Thanks SOG, will let you know when it arrives my sister will be happen to have a knife for defense.

Got the knife, thanks.

Unfortunately open disassembling the steel liners/bushings were pitted and rusted.

Thanks!

Oh wow you don't have to man, I got done polishing one liner and noticed it was pitted... right at the pivot point. I was so sad. What a great knife too my sister fell in love with it. :(

Luis, explain to me the liner situation. Will the knife function, can it be cleaned and or pitting removed. I noticed that the lock wouldn't enguage or move. I figured it was dirty. Keep me posted.

This reminds me of a lubricant gone wrong issue, where the lubricant reacted with the steel liners. Happened with a grease my cousin used on his shears, the metal got pitted and rusted so badly. We suspected moisture got in, and the grease trapped the moisture which led to fast rusting.

Pretty much 2 hours into cleaning and polishing, and I still couldn't get the knife to work properly for EDC use.
Here's the damage: Pivot bushing does not sit well with the stainless steel liner, there is play. The blades hole was very dirty and possibly rusted, that's been cleaned but still is very very gritty on the bushing. Locking mechanism had mostly dirt and a little rust it was polished out with 1500 then 3000 grit so it now deploys if your willing to even bother opening the knife. The safety lock required cleaning however it is still not engaging, requires far too much force.
However the action even after polishing the liners and cleaning and removing rust from the pivots is incredibly tough.

I am honestly at a loss at why it's still so stiff and gritty, it's non functional.
