do any of you all use stropping compound after you get the edge where you want it for polishing purposes.

if so what kind of compound, and where do you get it?

I don't strop at all personally, I just use a Ceramic rod to touch the edges up once in awhile.

I sometimes use a leather strop that's loaded with some compound I have in a drawer and forget where it came from. In the woods I strop on my belt with no compound, usually, or on my pants leg if I'm wearing jeans.

If I roll an edge, I usually grab the closest screwdriver and steel it back in place with that.

I have an old butchers steel I use if I roll an edge, it's very smooth.

No it won't, only V grind, but they will be a perfect as they can be and at any angle you want.
