FFG FRN Native 4?

I would like to see a FFG Native, with G10 or CF scales, jimping on both upper and lower, although only lower looks better. On the fence with a Boye dent. Steel should be ZDP189, or S30V. I have started to like VG10 better, but I still prefer ZDP189 to it. Also, I would like to see a different lock for the Native, preferably a frame lock :o;).

We can all dream, can't we?

Just curious about your view, why so much importance about the Boye dent?
 
Just as update.

The sample that we showed at SHOT show was very close. We're refining the lock geometry to achieve the best possible lock-up. We're getting close.

The sample had no Boye dent, but the cavity was small like on the Chinook.

Once the engineering is down, we can make any possible variations that are of interest. G-10, Carbn Fiber, FRN, bolsters, etc. Any USA steel. Flat, hollow, etc. It will be like the Manix2.

Thanks for the update Sal. Personally I'd like: FRN or G10 (like the feel of G10, like the $ of FRN), S30V, Flat ground. :thumbup:
 
Thank you, Sal. Wonderful news. I'm looking forward to this with great interest.

For me... full flat ground S30V blade, jimping top and bottom, grippy-textured CF scales like the Sage, black wire clip for deep pocket carry, tip up, like the Sage. (And all screw construction - no rivets).

Curious as to people's problems with the boye dent. Seems like it makes finding a solid purchase on the lock much easier, especially if you're working with gloves like I do.
 
Nice photos of the new prototype (g10) in Wouter's (Mr. Blonde) 2010 Amsterdam photo thread in the Spyderco forums. Looks great; on my must have list.
