Hope everyone’s week is going well so far. I’ve got a couple knives that have been in my collection for a while now and they’re just not getting the attention they deserve.
Ferrum Forge Les George Masterblaster Flipper Knife Hex Bronze Ti (3.6" SW) CPM-20CV
Condition: EXCELLENT - came back from a Spa Treatment/Sharpening/Clip & Pivot Upgrade back in March 2019. I’m the original owner, purchased from BHQ back in 2016. It was used for breaking down boxes before I sent it to FFKW for the 3D Retro-Fitted Clip. While it was there, I requested a spa treatment and sharpening service. They also upgraded the pivot to an anodized blue to match the backspacers. I have carried it sparingly and only tested the edge on paper since I got it back. There’s little to no discernible wear, a few trails on the sides of the pocket clip. It has the Hoback Rolling Detent (HRD), but it’s tuned perfectly right now so I wouldn’t adjust it unless you absolutely have to. In case anyone is wondering, this is not the batch from Massdrop as the Hex handle wasn’t offered by them. The action is crisp and clean — can be middle-finger flicked, flipped, or thumb-rolled. The closing is fall-shut with a light shake. The lockup is solid without any blade play. The centering is spot on. I paid $585 for the knife and $90 for the clip/sharpening. Comes with a plain taco pouch.

Spartan Blades Harsey Folder Frame Lock Special Edition Flag (3.8" Stonewash) CPM-S35VN
Condition: VERY GOOD - has been used and sharpened, but well-cared for. I’m the original owner on this as well. I raised the bevel with my Work Sharp K.O edition to try and improve the slicing ability. Since then, I have attempted to bring the convex grind back to a V-shape with my DMT stones. I would say it cuts better than when I originally received it. The scales are in excellent shape with no discernible wear. I have adjusted the pivot, but have never disassembled it. The action is smooth, but it’s easier to thumb flick than to roll it out based on my experience. The blade falls shut when you disengage the lockbar, but it does so with a gradual drop rather than guillotine-like. Centering is flawless. Lockup is great without any hint of blade play. Only item that’s missing from the manufacturer contents is the Spartan helmet sticker; for which is now on my HydroFlask. Pics under 1st reply
