I couldn't help myself and had to grab one of these. I was blown away when I first started playing with the Para. The blade is smoother opening than Benchmades Axis locks and locks up as tight as my Police3! After the blade is out its pretty much a fixed blade...rock solid and no play at all. I took the pocket clip off and sanded it down so it matches the rest of the knife.

I'm not saying the Military is bad, but I sure wish it opened and locked up like the Para.

I too really like the para. In your overlay picture, the para does not look that much smaller than the military, but the military just feels so much larger. Thanks for the pics. Nice work on the pocket clip too.

I'm going to gave to do that with the clip on my FG Para EDC, Nice ;)

Its still got a little black on it but I just wanted to get most of it off last night.

I'll go over it again with some finer grit.

Amazing knife! I started off carrying a Lil Temp PE S30V for a year and a half. I then switched to a CLB Boker Trance and ultimately have found the Para to be the best of both worlds. Holds an edge and it sure does carry well IMO. Great job on the clip! What grit did you use on that to start?

Nice pics. I'm thinking of picking up another D2 Para to use for EDC.

I cut so much crap at the office with it today I'm pretty sure everyone thought I was gonna go on to people next!

Great knife!

I just grabbed some scrap paper from the shed so I couldnt tell you. I would guess a medium grit.

Great pics! I love the comparison pics with the military.
I just got my D2 para 2 days ago and loving it.

Now I'm wanting a Military as well. I was afraid that it'll be too big but looking at the comparison it doesn't seem too big.

The wierd thing is the in the last pic the military looks really big compared to the para but in all other pics it doesn't seem that big. Is it just me?

How is the ergos on the military compared to the para? I love the ergos on my D2 para so much. If the military is anything like the para in hand I've gotta get me one.

Nice pics, but I just can't seem to get on with the Para. I like it open, doesn't carry as well as the Millie and I prefer the comp lock in the Lil'Temp:o

Great knife, but we just don't get along:(

By no means will it replace my Military but there are times when I cant carry a 4 inch blade. Could tell me a little more about what you dont like? I feel like it carrys the same as the Military.

For me, personally, I really like the size of the Para & love CPM D2. I finally got a D2 Para again, after having one for a very short period.

I can see the interest in the Mili. It's lightweight for its size & offers a full 4" blade, but for me, personally, it's just too big for pocket carry. I'm not limited by blade-length (& I live in Calif.), 5.5" is pretty big to have in your pocket as an EDC (Just my opinion, of course).

I'm really looking forward to the FRN Stretch 2, though.

More pics huh? Boy, I'm really feeling the pressure now. Gonna have to call the SFO. :D

It sticks up a wee bit more than the Millie:o Here in Norway you need a reason to carry a knife in public (not really enforced though) so Para or Millie doesn't make any difference here.

The Para is a great knife, but the Lil'temp is even better so I haven't bought a Para yet. Had one in my hand several times and almost bought it, but haven't yet since it doesn't feel quite "right" for me. Hard to put a finger on what it is, but the comp lock works better for me on the Lil than on the Para..
