Fially finished my short sword

I got a lot of advice when I posted earlier, unfinished pictures of this sword. At the time, I said I was going to do a Jimmy Fikes cloudcutter; but as it tuns out, the only thing my sword has in common is the short blade, long handle design elements. I just started to have fun with it, and let it take me where it wanted to go. You might notice the sheath has runes carved into it. In a moment of whimsey, I went to the Tolkien rune transultor and typed in Demon Slayer, and those runes are what spit out. Yeah, I know. Don't know why I did that. Anyway, I thought you guys might like to see where it ended up.

The forged blade is 16", 1075 steel, with textured flats and my signature engraved with chisels. The 16"full tang handle has hardwood slabs, wrapped in leather, then another wrap of flattened burgandy paracord.

If Patrice thinks He's slow, I worked off and on for two months on this, but I'm pretty pleased with it. What do you guys think?

Awesome sword, I actually have somthing similar in the works right now. What did you use to texture the flats?

Rocketman, I used a grinding stone and just lightly "skipped" it across the surface. Thanks for the compliment, and I look forward to seeing your sword when it done.

Stereo Pete, the blade is now in a final "for sale" stage, and I don't want to mess it up. However, I have another sword, different than this, but with similiar porportions, on my bench. So, before I go for the final grind, I'll do a video.

Thanks for the comments, Gents.

Looks awesome man. Want to chop stuff now.

I did test it extensively. It's one heck'ofa cutter, wood, rope, small trees, plastic jugs, etc., and if you ever had to take on an opponent, well...poor guy. It performs outstandingly. I really like this design a lot.
