Order Details

Metal Options: Copper

Nice! :thumb:

If you really want to go all out, you can get a VN modded one with 2300 lumens. $220 is a little steep for me though.

Ya know friends don't let friends...

Im still thinking there's going to be a fall issue from Olight or Maratac and an S1 CU or 123 CU is possible

if that happens...then maybe one more. I think my wife might need one too.

I think s1 short this year, since they had an s1 edition already

Hulk2e asked what the new Fiddleback form of measurement is going to be. Here ya go Hulk.

The replacement to my PK.

Not following, sorry - "S1 short"? Indeed there is an S2Cu. You mean that? Guy at Going Gear was pretty confident, the earlier in the year, S1 copper would never be repeated, but after looking around, here and there, it appears the run was a bit short of demand, they sold out faster than anticipated, therefore might the sellers be thinking they left some money on the table with that limited a run. These being marketed as gift items and the holidays coming, might it be possible, there is an S1 Cu but with some tweak, (eg different colored bezel or different LED or...) to make it different from the past issues? Not my game.

Here's an idea - are we allowed to muse? Why not a Bronze? Brass is copper plus zinc. Bronze is copper plus tin. Bronze is, I believe a bit tougher, more resistant to dinging than pure copper. It starts out with a very nice color and oxidizes beautifully. Anyone know of any electrical issues with bronze?

This might be the reason you don't see bronze much:

Which metals conduct heat best
Common metals ranked by thermal conductivity
Rank Metal Thermal Conductivity [BTU/(hr·ft⋅°F)]
1 Copper 223
2 Aluminum 118
3 Brass 64
4 Steel 17
5 Bronze 15

Thurin, On your Lumintop Prince, is the carbon fiber an over wrap on an underlying copper tube?

That's correct. The entire tube is copper, with the carbon fiber being on overlay.

What's interesting is that even on the brass and stainless Prince, the main tube is copper with the overlay. The screw on caps are in the brass and stainless.

Wonder if that was done as a production expedient or because of this heat conductivity issue you described?

S1 short is slightly smaller than the s1 I'm not sure if we're getting it here in the states though.

Different battery then? Think I saw somewhere there was a AA and AAA version of the S1 coming.
