A new addition to my Lineup is the Arete, designed by our own Talfuchre (who, btw, makes some truly beautiful sheaths for us here at Fiddleback Forge). The Arete is a spearpoint bushcrafting knife. Its got a blade just a smidge shy of 4" long, and a handle that is 4.5" long.

This one has Osage Orange over Natural canvas micarta with natural canvas micarta pins, and bullseye filler as well. Really a beautiful piece! The knife is $205 shipped with a JRE bushcrafting sheath with a firesteel loop.

Sorry guys, the knife is 1/8" thick.

Here is a picture of the first Arete in one of my sheaths:

The JRE sheath would be great for any user as well.

Andy's heat treat is spot on with this model, and it has quickly replaced a lot of knives that I thought I would keep forever.

I love the look of the micarta pins as well on this model Andy.

I'll take this one please Andy. The Osage has grown on me a lot in the past few days so go ahead and cancel my order on the burlap please(if you haven't already made a start).
Edit: Do you think you could knock off $25 if I take it without the JRE? I'm having Tal make me one of his sublimely gorgeous sheaths.
All the best,
Gabriel.

(when I have the money for them) :o

now if the blade were 5 inches, the handle thicker and longer, and the width of the steel were more like 3/16 A2..................................... :D
