Fiddleback as a Neck Knife

Try the SS Minnow. Its a good neck knife size. We are going to do a skeletonized sucrets tin sized knife as a production knife. Ken is working on the design this time.

I see a big run on Minnows on Fridays now. :) A Fiddleback "PSK"?!! Nice! That is a fantastic idea.

Willic,
Here,s a picture of it.

Nothing fancy and not nearly as sexy as Bud's work but it's more authentic French Trapper in nature and works well for me.

That is a cool way to carry! GREAT idea! Thanks!!!

For whatever reason, it looks much bigger in the photo. Maybe I'm shrinking😊

I missed out on one of the Turley PSK's in a kydex sheath, I would jump on a FF PSK. Hint hint...

I think many fiddleback models with a 4" or less blade would work fine. It is nice to have an ultralight setup, but it's not that necessary. Like anythig else, a few more ounces of weight would just be something to get used to. I've got a bushcraft knife that is heavily influenced by the Skookum Bush Tool, only a little more compact. I wear it as a neck knife, for 3 days straight on my last hunting trip in fact. I forgot about the weight quickly and was surprised how much I liked having a full sized knife around my neck.

It wouldn't be very easy to hide though. But that's ok with me. I'm not into conceal carry.

Loving the minnow. I don't neck carry it, don't have a suitable sheath for that, bit it fits in a KSF pocket sheath like it was made for it. My 2 finger Karda feels like a 3 finger knife, but this Minnow really is a 2 finger knife. The lanyard knot really works to add a little somethin' for a bit of grip though.

a Fiddleback tin knife would be cool. And would also serve well as a neck knife.

For EDC, this is my idea of a neck knife:

A neck knife in camp is a different story.
