OK. I've got a Bushcrafter almost ready. Its going to be my personal one, and I wanted to do a passaround with it while its nice and new. I've still got to do the finishing on the blade, and mark it, so it'll be ready to send out this week.

Talfuchre is going to get it first, and make a sheath for it, and a pattern for future ones! His sheaths are awesome, and I'm hoping to include his work with my knives very soon.

The passaround is going to be for five slots!

1. Barberfobic1992
2. Rayban
3. Peripatew
4. Spooky
5. Half Serrated
6. WadeH

You've got to ship it priority mail insured, and please don't play if you really don't have time to review the knife and take some pics of the knife in use to post in this thread. The user that does the best review gets 20 bucks off their next Fiddleback purchase!

Here is a WIP pic of the handle all finished up. Its Curly Koa and Curly Maple with a red liner and Fiddleback Lanyard tube. The steel is 01, 5/32" thick full height convex grind, 4" blade, 4.5" handle, tapered tang.

Edited to add that the passaround is going to be for folks that are known to me (for obvious reasons), which shouldn't be a problem here, cuz I hang out here more than anywhere on the net.

My e-mail address is aproy at charter dot net

Do I qualify?? If so, I'd sure like to check out your knife up close and personal.
Thanks!!

Man that's a good looking knife, wish I could get down on this. Take a bunch of pics so I can drool.

I added you onto the list. No biggie. I'll get this knife finished and off to Tal this week, and we'll get this thing rolling.:thumbup::thumbup:

SWEET! I am loving this new found passion of mine. I can't wait to get the knife... In a couple of years I will have the sheath done and I will pass it on.

Barber - if you move in the mean time - make sure to forward your mail. ;)

Andy, Thanks a ton but I can't take part in passarounds for a while. I wish I could but I'm typing this from the Congo right now and my time in country(USA) is not a whole lot for the next few years. Don't worry though, I plan to increase my small collection of Fiddleback knives as soon as I can.

Congo pics of Fiddlebacks mucho welcome. Lets see that Bow Legged Joe!

Andy I would like to get in on this if possible. I have been wanting to handle one of your knives for awhile now.

Andy,

Do you order the wood laminated like that - or do you do your own lamination? Also, what kind of lanyard tube is that? Do you make that as well? I know both are sort of your signature style - and I love them - but I want to know more if you don't mind.

TF

I laminate the wood myself, and the lanyard tube I make also. Its G-10 and Stainless Steel!

Andy, you are truly an artist. One of the first makers I drooled over when I found the forum. I am just starting to forge, and aspire to one day earn the respect of makers like you, even if I never achieve your kind of quality. This is just another example of why I love your work. Keep it up!
