This thread has been closed and all the blocks have been sent to K&G for stabilizing. If you want one of the unsold blocks just drop me a PM.
This thread will be closed at the end of the day 9/26. I will be sending any unsold pieces to K&G to be stabilized for the coming Boise Show. Even the pieces that do not look so great in the photos are really nice figured blocks. That just means I took a bad photo of that piece. These all come with a no questions asked money back guarantee.
This is natural Koa, it has not been stabilized. Koa is one of the woods that can look even better when stabilized. If you would like your blocks stabilized I can send them with my next batch to K&G. Turnaround time is usually 3 to 4 weeks. Cost for stabilizing is $8 each for the 5" blocks and $10 each for the big ones.
If you would like your blocks cut into scales I can do that at no charge. There will normally be about 1/8" loss of material from each cut and sanding. Let me know if you want the scales to be 3/8" thick or whatever thickness you need.
US Shipping is $2.50 for 1 block or free if you get 2 or more. Canada Shipping is $10 for up to 3 blocks. The rest of the world is $12 for up to 3 blocks. My address to make payment through paypal is itsaburl@hotmail.com.
When you decide which blocks you want, just post "I'll take #s ......" and I will mark them sold for you. Be sure to note in your post if you want them cut into scales or stabilized.
The blocks may be just a little darker and better looking in real life. They have been sanded to 220 grit. The grain and figure will become much more defined when you fine sand these blocks.
