Fiddleback Family - WAS Knives

That is an amazing box of knives Bill. Allen has really mastered his craft. Both the Bison and Revere turned out beautifully.

It looks like you added a maroon Herringbone burlap Camp Nessie also. Very nice!

Thanks Phil, I could not agree more about those two. And you have good some eyes pal!

They are worth the wait.
I don't know the specs off hand and am at work at the moment. Perhaps if Allen jumps on he can provide the info. Can also check if he has posted the specs on his forum. I'll get you a shot on that sheath (& knife with it in a bit)

True that, I've never been this patient before when ordering something from the US. I'm getting a little more anxious now that I know it is on it's way though, I hope our customs office doesn't slow the shipping process down too much on this on

I asked about the blade-length before in the thread where the Bison was first introduced, but I guess Allen overlooked my post since he's usually pretty responsive & I don't see the Bison in his line-up thread yet. No rush though, take your time.

Thanks in advance

Hey GooberBoober, sorry, I missed that comment. The OAL is 10 1/4" with a 5" blade.

No problem Alan, I knew I'd get an answer at some point or another

It looked bigger than that, but that sounds just about perfect for my needs, thanks!

Some of my gals recently returned home after paying a visit to Uncle Rick (Lowe in case you don't get the reference..:D)

Incredible set of knives Bill. What are the models shown? I think I recognize the shortmuk, bush adder and canebreak?

Thank you for the correction. I do hope to become more familiar with your profiles in the future. I have been impressed by the looks of the few that I have seen.

My goodness. What a good looking family!!!!

Preston

Thanks Preston. This group has been awhile in the making but so worth it!

I couldn't agree more BH. I believe the man himself answered your question, best to get it from the source.

Great pics and what wonderful samples of Allen's work!

Thanks Doc. I think I have a few I may keep..;)

One hell of a foursome you put together for me my friend. I could not be happier with each and every one of them..

Bill, your Was family of knives is incredible.

I am thinking of gifting one of mine to my 13 y.o. grandson. In a prior thread, I told the story that he had lost my first deer hunting knife that my father had given me when I was 11 y.o. I gave it to him when he was 11 y.o. It is now in pretty rough shape as my father had it in S. Florida for about 13 years. That humidity and no maintenance took a toll on it. I cleaned it up as best as I could and gave it to him. One day I asked him about it and he informed me that he had misplaced it. This went on for about a year. I told him I was not going to consider giving him another knife until he found the first one that I had given to him. As it turns out, my daughter had taken it from him and did not tell either him or me.

He is really liking the Stingray EDC. It fits his hand perfectly, and he really digs the ergonomics. Now that Rick has a pattern for this knife, Santa might just leave a Stingray EDC in an RLO sheath under his Christmas tree.

Thanks Mac. So glad that knife wasn't lost, too much history and sentiment there.
In my very humble opinion, WAS and RLO go together as well as Fiddlebacks and RLO. All amazing craftsman and every better men, proud to call them friends.

Bill,
What a beautiful group of knives and some seriously thin tapers .
Very nice mate.

Mick

Hey Mick,

Thanks buddy. Allen does do some fine work and a hell of a taper.

An updated pic of my ever growing collection. Many more pics to come on Allen's forum.

Wow! That's an insane collection! While they're all absolute beauties .. that white handle no name all the way on the right is my favorite. It's handle ergonomics fits my hand perfect and the blade length/style was right up my alley.

Thanks Bud, appreciate it. That's the one and only Bobcat in existence ( at the moment)
