Hello and thank you for checking out this knife!

For sale here is a full tang Fiddleback Forge Kephart made of O1 tool steel with stabilized and dyed (dark purple/blue) Maple burl scales over black G-10 liners with a white pinstripe. The dimensions of the knife are listed as being a 4" long blade on a 4.5" handle. This particular Kephart is 5/32" thick with a high convex saber grind featuring Fiddleback's proprietary 3D spalting on the flats. This knife was purchased directly from Fiddleback Forge on October 1st, 2012. The knife is unused and unsharpened.

The list price for this knife was $275. I am asking $225.00 shipped to your door within North America. Inquiries from outside of North America are welcome, but please contact me to discuss shipping options.

I will gladly accept PayPal, cash, cheque or money order but in any case the knife will not ship until the payment has cleared.

I apologize for the crappy pictures: they do not really do the knife justice at all. I have tried several times this week to get good pictures but it's just not happening for me (I'm photographically challenged, it seems). I will attempt to take the knife outside sometime this weekend in the hopes of getting some better pictures with natural lighting.

EDITED TO ADD:

I managed to snap a few pictures outside this morning. It's extremely overcast right now so all of these photos were taken using the flash, but I think this is the best I can expect to accomplish: it's supposed to be storming all weekend so I don't expect to see much of the sun around here. I hope these extra pictures help.

One of our generous members here at Blade Forums has pointed out to me that people may be apprehensive to purchase this knife for fear of being hit with duty charges once it is imported from Canada to the USA.

To address this issue, I wanted to add some information about the shipping for this item:

I will be paying to insure this item, so the Kephart would be shipped with a tracking number.

If the buyer is hit with duty charges, then I would happily refund the cost of those duty charges to the buyer provided that they can show me documentation proving they paid duty on this item.

I think that is the best I can offer but if anyone has any further questions OR has any other advice to offer about avoiding duty charges, please let me know.

Thanks again for looking!!!

Hey Sean, a few questions for you: what do you mean by unsharpened? Did you actually buy a brand new dull knife? Also why are you selling it?

Thx!

Hey oneminus2, sorry I'm a bit late on this one: I was travelling and didn't check the e-mail linked to my Blade Forums account.

Anyway by unsharpened I only mean that the knife has not been used or sharpened since I got it, so it has the same edge that was on the knife when I bought it. The knife is sharpened, it just means it's the makers edge not an edge that I've done myself after using the knife.

The reason I am selling it is I simply that I really need to make some money back. I spent a little too much on knives, have more than I can use at the moment, and need to buy other things (like sheaths for the knives I've bought, for one thing haha) so I'm trying to sell the one knife I haven't used. It's a great knife, feels great in the hand with good balance and the blade/edge is super sharp and pointy. I wouldn't feel the need to get rid of it if I didn't need the money.

Thanks for the questions and your interest.
