The customers and group of folks here are the best anywhere. I've said this so many times folks are probably getting sick of hearing it. This company was born and grew by your word of mouth advertising. Basically, y'all made this thing a reality. So here I am once again with my hand out asking for your help. As we get ready to start making the production knives, (oh yea, this is happening soon, everything is ordered) we need to increase our brand recognition. You folks have always been our best way to accomplish this. SO, I am just re-stating the old discount for a review idea. Please post a review in some other forum. You can also copy it here if you'd like. If you post a review at another location, you get 10% off your next Fiddleback Knife. Please, only one discount per knife.

Production Fiddleback

I'm sure that's a pretty big and exciting step for you, but I must admit that the thought of that frightens me a little. Will these be produced at your shop or are you going to use some kind of factory somewhere?

I've been spamming pics of my Bushboot & Rick's sheath all over BF and EDCF by the way. I don't think I've done an actual review though, maybe on the next one. But no need for a discount either, that's just what us knife-nerds do here on the internet

Sure thing, Andy. What models and processesing steps will be production? And what steps, if any, will be done in house?

Preston

If any of you are doing reviews I would love if you would send it to us. Would love to splash it on all our social media stuff!

Sounds good Andy -- happy to help; It sounds like some pretty big things are coming down the pipeline for Fiddleback Forge! Also, any additional info on the production knives (and how you might anticipate them affecting the custom market) would be appreciated!

If I understand it correctly... The production models will only be stamped "fiddleback" and the handmade ones will also include "by AR"

Very nice and congratulations on the growing success. I will keep an eye open for more details on the production line, but I do hope the bulk of my play funds stay with your fully custom side ;)

Anyone that shows any interests always gets a nod to Andy Roy and crew when the subject of knives pops up. That is a generous discount offered by the forge - I might have to dust the camera off.

Andy,

You have a great brand with great profiles and great craftsmanship. I already talk about Fiddlebacks on other forums, but will actively try to do more. Thanks for all you do for us! Thank you for the generous discount offer!

Y'all are doing some cool things in Salisbury, NC.

The knives are going to be mid teched and finished in house. The first model is going to be the Bushfinger, the steel is CPM S35VN and the blades will have a tumbled finish, the heat treat is going to be done by Peters, the CNC'd handle shapes are going to be done by Nathan the Machinist (the absolute best). The shape of the handle is being taken from an example carved by myself.

Andy, Any idea yet if these will wear pinstripes and liners, simply liners, or solid, one piece scales?

Andy, Congrats! I hope this means that there will be more availability on popular models. And maybe a lower price? Can you share more details?

No. They are one piece construction, and will be available in black and natural canvas micarta.

FYI, we will continue to offer our handmade knives in just the same way we have.

This'll be a great way to be able to afford giving people Fiddleback's for Christmas! :) I'm excited! I want a black one!
