I know I'm a couple years late here - just joined up to hopefully find a Sylverfalcen. Much appreciated!

BladeForums and other similar sales sites have been plagued by scammers who post or send emails pretending to be a seller.

Do not respond to emails. BF treats email addresses as confidential. We do not disclose email addresses to members. Wait until the seller responds in the thread.

A favorite trick of scammers is to create an account with a name that resembles the seller's member name. Then they post in the thread and pose as the seller. So if someone posts in the thread, check their post count and membership level before believing they are who they purport to be.

Sellers can repost an item in a new thread after 14 days. So posting in a thread which is older than a couple of weeks has a low probability of success.

I see, fair enough. No scammin here, I say! Just fellow blade-enthused folk. Have been on the hunt for a Sylverfalcen.

I am new to the site and don't know the protocol for how the exchange takes place exactly, so any help from moderator knarfeng or yourself would be appreciated! I just want to pay you for that sweet sweet Falcen, man.

The sales forum is more or less separate from the rest of Blade forums. It's like an old fashioned bulletin board like you would find at the super market or the want ad section of a newspaper.
-- A member starts a sales thread and says he has an item he wants to sell. He posts pictures and a price.
-- A prospective buyer posts that he wants to buy the item at the stated price.
-- The two members make contact and arrange for payment.
--The transaction is between those two members. Neither Spark nor BladeForums participates in that selling process. No funds from that transaction come to Spark or BladeForums.

So you will need to wait for the seller to respond in the sales thread.

Here is a link to the rules for the exchange. (There's a link that will get you there at the bottom of each page "terms and rules".)

Thanks very much! I’ve upgraded my account and read through some FAQs and such. Appreciate your post and patience.

Thanks for the heads up. Haven’t been very active on the forums lately, just responded.
