I stole this trick from one of the other sharks... If you change in your settings to unselect "Load Images" the thread pops so much faster.

Also, if you click the "Reply to thread" button at the very top as soon as you can see it and then Ctrl+v your already copied text with your "i'll take..." text, it can be very fast. This all assuming you hit F5 to refresh the page at the perfect time.
