Fiddleback Friday!! 07/24/15

I think it's still out there:

I'll take the stubbymuk:

2015 0724 05 – Stubbymuk w/ Ivory paper micarta over natural w/ blue pinstripes, Tapered Tang, convex on 5/32” spalted 01 steel - $280

Edited: I pasted the wrong one-- I want the Ivory paper. I don't think I've messed anything up, but if I have. My sincerest apology. I figured an edit was better than another confusing post since the waters are much calmer on a Saturday afternoon.

I had a small issue I need to deal with and have to put the runt I sharked back out there for grabs:

2015 0724 01 – Custom Shop Runt w/ Corrugatta burl over natural w/ lime pinstripes, SFT Tang, Flat ground on 1/8” S35VN - $250

Question about the Osprey EDU: That's an interesting blade shape. Was this profile designed with a specific task or purpose in mind?

Thanks.

Funny story behind that, I started off with a Raptor chasing the grinds. The edge got to thin so I took some meat of the edge to thicken it up. I realized it no longer looked like a Raptor out of sheer entertainment I buried the nose of the knife into the 14 inch contact wheel. I then looked at it and said to my self that kind of looks like a nice utility blade, so I shortened the handle some more and brought it all in line to balance it nicely. I took it home and used it for a couple of days opening boxes and packages. used it in the kitchen to shave some Corn from the Cobb, It works very nicely as a utility blade. I decided to call it the EDU for Every Day Utility. The first one was a one off that Vance like so much I gave to him as a personal gift. This one I did a little more refining as to bring it in line with what I thought would blend functionality with aesthetics.

Hey everyone. Noob here. Been lurking for a while now and drooling over these Fiddlebacks. This may be a dumb question but what are the dimensions of the Esquire, Stubbymuks amd Minimuks? I have looked on the website and I don't even see them listed. Thanks in advance for your help.

That is a great question. I don't have specifics right now but we'll get them posted up on Monday. We are also working on the website slowly but surely to get all the dimensions up.

I'll take the bog oak loveless Hunter . Great looking knife

Nice choice RC!

I'll take the:

2015 0724 27 – Camp Nessmuk w/ black bolsters over Antique Bone linen, Tapered Tang, convex on 3/16” spalted A2 steel - $420 & $40 international shipment.

Thank you

Man, the Osprey has been preying on me the last day or so...
The Wharthog is great; sharpest knife I have even seen from the box, but is not mine. It is my wife's.
This one is very appealing.

I just wish that Leuku would stop staring at me like that :)

I see the custom shop Camp Knife is listed as S35VN - I'm guessing it should be 3V.....or maybe....

This is what had me confused in my post in the dealer thread. CPM S35VN is a stainless steel, whereas CPM 3V is not. Phillip's HB thread only referred to CPM S35VN. I have other knives in CPM 3V, and it is probably the toughest steel I have ever used. It is an excellent choice for a Camp Knife, but I had never read anything about Andy using it. I could have easily missed it, but this was my confusion.

Yes, the Production Camp knife is 3V. All the other Production knives are in S35VN.

I can't take it anymore. I've wanted an Ironwood FF for awhile. If that 2015 0724 25 – Leuku w/ Ironwood burl over black w/ lime pinstripes, Tapered Tang, Trinity pinout, convex on 3/16” spalted A2 steel - $390 is still available please send it to Ca Ken.

Thanks for the clarification Ken. CPM 3V is fairly stain resistant compared to many other carbon steels, but it will defiantly rust. But you can thump on it hard for extended periods, and it will be no worse for wear.

Sorry I didn't clarify
I was simply answering bears post above mine and should have further clarified
