Fiddleback Friday 08/09/13

Wow, those pinecone scales are really beautiful! Great scores everyone, this a great batch, with lots of tempting goodies. Alas, my own quest for that one special 1/8 Kephart continues to next week.

exactly. i love a nice wood handle. but, even more importantly is just what you said. i look for the ones that are almost full height convex grind. i would have preferred the 1/8" tang, but i don't see many of Andy's BF's with cocobolo, and i'll tell ya...with all the talk about "prices", i am psyched to get this beauty for $250.

Lovin all the full thickness tangs. That Cocobolo Bushfinger looks awesome. Diggin the 1/8" Slicing Buddies.

Yeah, I wanted full height on the Camp Knife because it is 3/16 and will have plenty of strength for my needs regardless. But my next will be a Recluse, I plan on doing a lot of hunting this season and a few articles on hunting and winter woods traveling and bushcraft so I want the added strength of a little spine left, and I want to be able to show off Andy's spalting as well ;) Yes, I am really wanting a tapered tang Recluse just because. I have three of Andy's tapered tangs at this point and really like them, but damn, with the lighter weight of the skeletonization, and at that price, if he had had a REcluse in a color that will suit my needs in that configuration I would have jumped hard and fast lol. I like the skeletonized option for a lighter handle and better balance at a lower price than a tapered tang, I think it's awesome that he is offering that now! I have a few skeletonized tangs that I have worked the crap out of with no strength issues at all.
 
I wasn't going to comment on 1 knife and then kept scrolling down to witness another and another that are stunning. Wow Andy, sick batch!

Hey Andy, sorry to pester but sure would like to see some more edcs come out. Missing a belt knife and would like to replace it with one of your 1/8" edcs (dont have any use for something thicker in a knife that small). Love the tapered tangs and stabilized woods, very classy, though would also be happy with canvis micarta. Really my only huge no no is orange, personaly cant stand that color. Anyway you have a sale in me just as soon as I see the right one. Thanks keep up the good work.
 
Is it cool to make request? Cause if so I think a green over orange 5/32" O1 recluse with a convex edge might sell fast. Just sayin
 
I look forward to this every Friday. You make some beautiful knives. I cant wait to finally be able to choose which one I want. Besides all of them.
