Oh hush! I have already stood out at the stream twice today, watching the trout swim around and crunching numbers. At one point seriously considering asking Andy if he would take my camp knife back in trade for the F2?! How is that for stressful insanity lol?

Yeah, I was pretty sure it would be an easily workable trade with someone lol. Luckily the area on the stream I like is right next to where I am setting up my new camp, work, and fire pit area and lots of the saplings I have cut down with the CK are still laying there...then remembering the price on the camp knives it didn't take long for the little voice in my head to shout out WTF are you thinking?! lol. But I have just gone through so much expense on this move that my budget for knives is somewhat slim for now...



 
Having just recently 'parted with cash' -- including for knives, including for an O1 Arête -- these FB Fridays are agonizing. Andy, do NOT put black or dyed palm on a CPM 154 Kephart or Arête, or burl on a CPM 154 Recluse! :)

What model is this and what are the specs? Is F2 the model?

Yep, F2 ( or F-squared) is the model. Stands for fin and feather. Great B&T design that Andy came up with a while back.

He doesn't have it listed in his line up yet, but if I recall right it has very similar dimensions to the Hiking Buddy which is 7.5-inches overall with a 3.125-inch blade.

I found the post where it was introduced and it is similar to the Hiking Buddy:

Introducing the F2 – a small hunting knife. Real bird and trout, squirrel and rabbit functional. The blade is 3.5” long and the handle is 4” long. The handle shape is exactly the same as a Hiking Buddy. The blade is also the same length, but shaped a lot differently. The knife came about because during the profiling phase a HB got damaged badly. Rather than trash the blade, I told Ron to grind it out, and make a new shape. We both liked the new shape a lot, so here it is.

Beautiful batch as always, Andy.

Ok, here we go, next week whatever 1/8" thick Kephart there is, I'm pouncing on it! It might be a gamble, and I may also not have an Internet connection in the field, but I've had quite a few beers at this point and it seems like a fun idea.
 
May I know that the SS is CPM154 or 154cm? I have googled them & found that they are a bit different. Thanks! :)
 
It should be CPM154. I think the cm part is a mistake from Andy. Please correct me if I'm wrong Andy;)

The Fin and Fowl is a knife for small game processing. It is based on the Hiking Buddy.
