Fiddleback Friday - 10/10/14

Crazy batch I missed this week. I cannot stop looking at that Asp with the magma/ash burl. Enjoy the awesome new knives everyone.

Holy sh!# what a batch of fine cutlery!! Man that keyhole is really something!! And d@mn at those Curly Qs!! Man, at this point I am sooo glad I wasn't here, I would have hurt myself going after either of those Curly Q Kepharts. Congrats to whoever got them, I have wanted one since the first one I saw some years back!

Allen, that is just gorgeous man!

Well I will take that last bolstered Camp Knife. That pretty much seals which Hunter I am keeping

Lol yea, been trying to make up my mind for a week. Nothing like a matching Camp Knife for a kick in the pants.

Andy - I've been really busy with family and a new job lately as well as saving for a new precision air rifle for my youngest so I've not been around much for a while.

Stopped by today to check out Friday's batch and all I can say is WOW!

Really love the aqua blue box elder burl Sneaky Pete what are the chances of getting one of those with a tapered tang? Guess I'll have to keep checking Friday's to see.

We don't see a whole lot of that color come through here, so it may be a while before it comes up again (that was the last piece that we had, for the time being). Glad you like it, we'll make sure and get some more when we can.

Number 24 is not sold? Please let me know the blade and total length.

2014 1010 24 – Camp Knife with Natural canvas bolsters over Maroon linen micarta, SFT Tang, convex on 3/16” spalted 01 steel, thicker handle of the 2 camp knives

From http://www.fiddlebackforge.com/index.cfm/fiddleback-forge-knives/5-inch-blades/camp-knife1/ : The Camp Knife is the perfect camping companion. It has a beefy 7” long blade and a 5.5” long handle. This handle design is taken from the khukuri, so that you can hold it in two positions, and increase or decrease the amount of snap you use when chopping. Shelter building and camp fire processing are typical chores this knife is designed to handle.

Check with Bamboo if it is still available as sometimes they send the Friday knives that do not sell to one of their dealers.

Hi Baram, That knife has been sold. Sorry I didn't get back in to edit the post and label it so. For the future though, the blades on our Camp knives are 6.75", with an overall length of 12.5".

Thanks,
Ken
