Robbie - I hear you and have felt your pain. Always a very difficult situation being without power for any length of time post-storm (4 days is certainly rough). Hope things by you have returned to 'normal' (or will do so very soon).
I have only been successful once on a FF using a mobile phone, while commuting home late, from work. People have reported occasionally being surprised that the piece they were interested in was available late, which is why it's always worth trying.
Early last year, for my home, I switched to the highest available internet speed in my area (for work and kids mmo gaming) - that change made a huge difference for me in FF success.
Watching the board this past Friday saw the first 3 off the board at just shy of 1 minute following the delayed posting ( Koa Snowbill, Handyman, and Bear Cub). The Hiking Buddy and Bushboot ( and Grizzly, I believe) were off next within 30 - 60 seconds of that first group. Even with the new 5G mobile services reporting supposed speeds at up to 20G/sec, that will still likely not be able to effectively compete with a FF shark frenzy aimed at a particular piece. Sort of fun part though is that one never really knows which items are going to be the true targets of the shark swarm! FF sale has been been fun to watch - Personally, I thought that this past Friday it would be the Bushboot that would be gone first. Always interesting to see the selling pattern of the various knives as they come off the board.
