Here we are again at Fiddleback Friday time! I hope y’all are excited as I still get to do these every week. Dylan asked me about my pace this week. I told him that I still love pulling a batch and posting it on Fridays. I’m hooked, and I hope y’all like the knives.

As always, my first priority is to thank all of you. Fiddleback Forge depends on y’all, and we hope you love the tool you buy from us. Today we would also like to take a moment to think about our forefathers that died at Pearl Harbour. My grandad and three of his brothers fought in WWII.

The prices this week are without sheaths. I am lucky enough to work with both Heber Ellsworth and Rick Lowe. Both make fantastic sheaths that are completely different from one another. I appreciate your support for them as well.

All of the steel this week is 3D Spalted 01.

Payment may be made to Paypal, or by personal check or MO. I hold all personal checks until they have cleared. This usually doesn’t cause a delay because they usually clear before shipping day. The paypal address is: fiddlebackpayments at att dot net. Please describe your purchase in the payment notes.

Shipping is included within the US. We do all our shipping on Thursdays.

Andy, thank you so much!! Yesterday I just got to pick up the Recluce(feels great) and tapered tang Hiking Buddy!! The hiking buddy is awesome!! I love the Scandi grind and the tapered tang is even sweeter than I imagined. I can put it down; every chance I get I grab it and carver away. I totally have to get tapered tang version of all my fiddleback!! (scandi)

Have a good weekend!

Been waiting for a 1/8" Bushfinger. Just a bit too late. Nice snag Eric.
That curly F2 was sweet as well.

Have a great weekend to all.

Sweet batch man! They're right, your Kephart isn't much like the original...but I didn't like the original and never wanted a Kephart till I saw your interpretation of it. It's more than just sexier to me, but much more useful in my uses. One will be my next Fiddleback, and that one is stunning. I'm thankful you didn't torture me too much this time, at least no comp cutters this time around :) . Coming here with no money is a form of masochism I believe. That last hike, when I ran into major obstacles with serious briers and undergrowth around some of the persimmon trees I would have traded my Hunter and my Bushfinger for one of your comp cutters. The Hunter was the largest knife I had on me and since it wasn't a matter of survival I wasn't going there with it and tackling all of the briers and saplings with a sub five inch blade. So I had to walk away from a couple of gallons of the best looking persimmons I've seen in a while...glancing backward as I went. I had the epiphany then and there that my ideal team for woods wandering in the winter is a Kephart for the point and detail work, and general utility work and a comp cutter for the heavy work. Now to see what I can sell to accomplish this endeavor...I'm hoping if it comes to it you won't be offended if I sell two fantastic Fiddlebacks in order to fund my ideal team of Fiddlebacks...

Ohh Eric, I must apologize. The BF is not 1/8" thick. It is 5/32. That was my mistake. Feel free to back out if you need to.

Not 1/8" thick. Sorry. I have 1/8" BF's cut.

Really happy you're happy! I grudgingly feel this way about tapered tangs as well. I've had folks requesting them without also though. They want the handle thickness and weight back.

Not 1/8, but thanks!!!

I know! And thanks Erich. I'm totally excited! Been wanting to try a Bushfinger, but I needed one that was different enough from my Bushcrafter to make it interesting. I figured 1/8" convex would fit the bill, so I've been patiently waiting. Plus, I love Osage Orange; it is probably my favorite wood for a knife handle. And this one looks particularly good!

I really liked that Kephart too; but when Andy serves up the knife you've been waiting for, a wood that you love and a tapered tang to boot, you gotta pull the trigger!

Cheers to everyone else in the hunt today as well!

Eric G.

Oops! Just read Andy's posts above. Oh we'll. I'll keep waiting for that 1/8" to appear.

No worries Andy.

Erich M., its all yours!

I won't be offended. A 12" machete and that Bushfinger of yours is a helluva combo though.
