Fiddleback Friday - 2/6/15

Vayu, is there another pic of the Monarchs handle. I'd love a Monarch but I'm worried about that pattern being fugly in person.

Nope
Sorry
It was a rush job today to get on the road to the knifemakers guild meeting

newyork, Andy has a no questions asked happiness based guarantee - if you get the knife and it doesn't make you happy, and you have not used it or damaged it, you can return it to the shop and they will refund the purchase. But I imagine that once you got the bacon Monarch and used it to slice up some bacon, and then you ate the bacon while watching the sunrise over a glass of bourbon, and then you really went out and conquered the world that day, and everyone was on your side, and you got home and the smell of bacon and maple was still in the residence, and you wind down the day with a nice glass of bourbon and some bacon with the bacon monarch, and the stars seem to align in support of all your life's goals, what other outcome than happiness could be expected? But if you never hold it, you'll never know, because even a photograph is just pixels on a screen. The magic happens when you hold it...

Warranty- I back my knives with a satisfaction guarantee. When you get the knife it should make you happy. If it doesn't, return it in unused condition within the first month you own it. I'll refund your purchase price, plus shipping (domestic) back home to me when I receive the knife in unused condition. I guarantee my work to be free from mechanical defects under normal usage, and will repair or replace such a knife/problem as necessary as long as I remain able to make knives. Natural handle materials such as stag, bone, wood, pearl and ivory may shrink, crack, and/or discolor with change in temperature, or humidity or age. As this is normal, expected, and can normally be avoided with maintenance these issues would not be covered under this warranty.

I know nothing will be wrong with it. No fiddleback I've ever owned had any defects. They are all flawless. It was just aesthetics I was asking about.
I'm gonna go for it. I'm dying for one anyway and the Monarch seems fantastic.

I'll take the Monarch.

Great
I'm sure you will like
If you don't send it back ATTENTION ALLEN

I'm sure I'll love it. It'll play nice with my Kephart and Hunter. Been awhile, thanks brother.

These are still available, but they won't last long. Bear Paw... Lemondrop G10... Tapered Patch knife... That bolstered Kephart with Boxelder burl...

Really, a nice selection at the end of the day.

2015 0206 08 – Patch knife w/ Lemondrop g10 over black w/ yellow pinstripes, SFT Tang, convex on 1/8 spalted 01 steel - $265 (looks like a scandi grind, but I have not held it)

If the knife pictured is the one talked about, it is indeed a scandi.

Mistwalker that is one mystery that has been solved (viral and xxwjtxx also called it). The second is why a scandi lemondrop patch knife is still around...

A very good question indeed.

On that note, I'll take it. :)

I saved that one for you!. I had it and then backed off.

You're welcome!

Why thank you kind sir. This model has eluded me. It is funny, I have quite the maroon handled collection, but there are other handle configurations I prefer. The one and only BC I own is maroon, so it is fitting I guess. I do like 3/16" in this size blade though.

Hi - just curious what the designation "Bear Paw" refers to on that Bushcrafter w/Curley Oak. in the picture the blade looks pointier, more like a Bushfinger, so i wondered if that was a slightly different shape than the standard Bushcrafter. thx
