Fiddleback Friday 3/7/14

;) If the other staff could prove how unproductive they suspected I was being today then I would be living like Charlie Bucket and needing a Golden Ticket! Careful with that pointy thing!

This was one day I was glad I'm home sick....

That oak Sneaky Pete is looking really good there, both the handle material, and the spalting on the blade!. I hope somebody takes that soon before I start thinking about selling stuff again just to see how creative I could get with some photos with that one...

2014 0307 011 – Kephart, Stabilized and Dyed Blue Ash over black g10 with a white g10 pinstripe- $275, if this one is still available, I'll take it.

I had copied the description of the SP and was going to pull the trigger on it, but I have one coming that I have not laid eyes on, and I already have one. But that handle is beautiful on this one. I shut the computer down and went home with the description still copied to the clipboard.

I must have stared at it for nearly an hour last night. To me the Sneaky Pete just looks more true to it's lines and lineage with wooden scales, and that oak handle is just beautiful. I do want an O-1 version with a wooden handle, but I really want it to be 5/32 and pref tapered. But still, I thought and thought about that one last night, the wood and the spalting are both just superb.

Fiddleback- Ok, thanks for lmk that it went yesterday, I was confused with the buyer's post that it said 'withdrawn'.

Hey Mist, I have to agree with you. I have a Sneaky both in 5/32 tapered Stainless with micarta scales and 5/32 tapered O1 with beautiful wood (maple burl) scales and the latter is fast becoming one of my favorite Fiddlebacks.

Wow, I've been away from this forum for a couple of months, and I have to say, the work on here just gets more and more amazing.... these knives are stunning.
