What do you want to know? It is my understanding that the old Westinghouse micarta is the original. I bought a bunch of it once when I stumbled onto it. It is very rare nowadays. It has more character than the new micartas.

pics that I could not post because of the image limits

Does it feel different or cut different/behave different to you on the grinder or in use?

I know Nathan and team has a stock of the stuff too (https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/pic-request-antique-micarta-please-thank-you.1500409/) but were hesitant to call it Westinghouse.

As a buyer when I look on ebay and stuff I see a lot of fake micartas under the Westinghouse name.

Not implying that's the case here. But curious as to your experience seeing a lot of products out there at shows and by dealers, and how you would position this stuff to someone interested in the knife. For historic reasons. For use reasons. Does it just feel right? What's your opinion of the product do you like it? What do you look for in authenticity and do you think its a comparable product to the natural stuff coming out of shops today?

It is not identifiable in any way except the color and condition of the stuff. What I have is 20 ish sheets 1" thick and 1'x1'. It came out of a building that was torn down. I was told it was 1960's vintage. I don't have any way to certify that of course. It was sold to me as Westinghouse.

That BLJ is pretty classy looking. And wow do those tapers look great! Thanks for posting the addl pics. I was going to ask for a couple of them.

The Bushcrafter is probably wearing my favorite set of scales.

Benson X Benson X that was a great post!
It is definitely a fun read to learn more about the history of (Westinghouse) micarta.

It was also posted in the Carothers (CPK) forum by fellow member @NUTRAMAC while discussing the beautiful Antique Westinghouse micarta. I've reached out the site's owner (Eric Kimberlin) to see if he's local in Washington, and wanted to stop by his shop to check out the different projects he's working on. Haven't heard back from him (yet).
