How Fiddleback Friday Works

The rules are quite simple. Once the knives post, the first person to the checkout process gets the knife. There are no limits to how many you can buy. However, it may take you longer to put 3 knives in your cart than it takes 3 other people to checkout with only 1 knife. Unsold knives will stay here until Thursday of the following week. They will still be on the site listed with other https://fiddlebackforge.com/collections/handmade

Shipping

Our checkout accepts both PayPal or credit cards. In the USA, there is free USPS First Class shipping for any order over $150. You can pay to upgrade to Priority Shipping during checkout if you'd like to. International is up to $50 USD per order for USPS Priority International Mail. Rate depends on country. We ship next business day after purchase. We ship Monday-Friday unless there's a national holiday or something unforeseen occurs.

I am right gobsmacked here.

I would not have thought it possible to raise the bar pretty much each and every week.

And yet here we are, folks.

Though not as much of an obvious piece of eye candy (I’m looking at you, Mssrs. Recluse and DP Renegade!), I am struck by and very much impressed with what appears to be extraordinary and quite delicate distal tapering on this week’s Handyman. @ 3/32” that is impressive work there and as much as I admire the expertise necessary to pull off a great tapered tang, that distal tapering impresses me even more. Wowser.
(AND in PB&J - and all that for under $300! = holy cow!)

Is it possible that this week’s Recluse tops last week’s beauty? Those *double* bolsters . . . . Discriminating minds will differ, but that it is even a question is a remarkable thing.

The Drop Point Renegade is beyond handsome as well. Double “elbow turned” pinstriping?!

Please keep it (and that includes tapered tangs!) up!

Its quite a good feeling to read this thread and hear y'alls take on the batch. Thank you. We're going to keep trying to make each week better than the last.

Red/Black Burlatex & Emerald Ash are over the top nice

As for the "Apprentices" - I think you might be able to give them their next badge on the way to "Masters" and their own seat in the lunch room. They are knocking it out with gorgeous models

I'm very impressed with the apprentices as well. They work hard in the shop, require zero management, and are always suprising me by doing unexpected things. And the knives they are making are very good too!
