Important Info! Fiddleback Friday 7/31/20

Well - let me start off by saying I really hope I didn't ruin someones FF night.
I picked up 2 knives tonight - the Bush Hermit and the F2.
Last week I started a small project using a Seax tasker from a prior FF buy - curly blue maple with blue liners. In the sun - wow - the liners popped 'electric' against the blue of the handle. The visual appearance of the knife was amazing (especially if you like vivid blues !). I decided to watch for other knife styles here that might be similar. Tonight, I thought the Bush Hermit and the Duke were stunning (and what I was looking for)- problem was that atm I really don't have use for the Duke model and going after the BH alone meant breaking up the pair. After finding that I had confirmation of the BH, I returned to the FF page and noted that the Duke was still on the board.
At that point I purchased the F2 - which will likely see a hard life of use in a marine environment (may well wind up being my hardest working knife - going to need a good sheath and will have to work to protect that baby!). After purchasing the F2, I returned to the board and saw that the brother Duke, to the BH, was now sold.
I obviously do not know who picked up the Ash Duke (no one has posted) and also don't know if they were going after both pieces. If the buyer of the Duke was only looking for that particular piece, then all is good - however, if the buyer was indeed looking for both pieces - let me know - at the very least would offer 'first dibs' if I decided to release it down the road (I am viewing this particular BH as a 'collection' piece)- or can discuss possible options.

Regards,
Gary

THIS is the kind of thoughtfulness and generosity that I have only seen here. What a bunch of stand-up men and women.

Seriously.

As some of you know, there are other subforums and altogether different forums where the terms “law or rule of the sharks” are taken quite literally. Beyond cutthroat behavior. Sometimes downright mean spirited. Not here.

Similar to Toppcats’s pretty much selfless and generous offer above, one of our own here took pity on me for breaking 9 bones last Friday AM, causing me to miss out on my serious intention to try and score that sublime Stormy Night TT Recluse that was being offered, and having scored it for him/herself, turned around and offered it to me at the FBF sale price. (I have selfishly - I prefer “graciously” - accepted said kind and generous offer).

Only here Friends. Only here.

Its always the one you think will go first thats left after a show.

Thank you all for your support and enthusiasm. The whole knife making community is able to exist because of your enthusiasm, and I treasure it. Thanks again.
