Wow! That Kephart is gorgeous! And man the luminous honeycomb has my attention, I'll try to figiure out out to swing something in that later for an article idea I have.

I agree. black ash burl + cross-cut micarta + tapered tang = I'm surprised it is still around...
I was so tempted but I’m just not a Scandi kinda guy . I must of clicked on it 20 times trying to talk myself into it and admiring it lol . For some reason the Scandi grind didn’t bother me as much on the Hiking buddy ;)

I'm not really a scandi kinda guy either on the larger knives to be honest. But with the 3/32 steel thickness in the smaller knives I don't really mind the thin steel and it gives me the best of both worlds. I get to visually enjoy the spalted steel which I really love the look of, and I still get nice slicing capability as well. I just have a tendency to work it into a slight scandi-vex, as Kristoff liked to call it, when I start the edge maintenance.

Couldn’t agree more on all accounts and The Spalting is so beautiful it almost puts me in a trance  Like gazing into a fire listening to the cracks and pops watching the ambers glowing in the night .
Absolutely love it on my Ladyfinger
